Chief Scout’s Silver Awards
In our Cubs section this week we said goodbye to 6 of our oldest Cubs as they move up to Scouts. Of these 6, four of them had earnt their Chief Scout Silver Award for completing all their Challenge Badges as well as at least 6 Activity badges.
This is a great achievement and reflects the breadth and depth of programme that we run at 1st Camelsdale. Cubs and Scouting in general, offers kids a huge range of activities to try and challenges to complete, with the Chief Scout Awards being the ultimate reflection of the scope and achievements our Cubs receive. In the process, they build confidence and skills that they wouldn’t normally get from a school setting.
The 6 Cubs we say goodbye to this month are great examples of that growth and achievement and we wish them all the best for the next chapter.
